Description
The aim of the research was to evaluate the extent and dissemination of prejudices against different target groups, such as migrants, ethnic and cultural minorities, Jews, Muslims, women, homosexuals, homeless people and people with disabilities, and to analyse the causes of these prejudices. In particular, it was necessary to examine similarities and differences between European countries. For this reason, both old and new EU member states were selected, which differ in integration policy, immigration history and rate as well as general prosperity. The sample includes respondents from different geographical regions in Great Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Poland and Hungary. In each country, about 1000 people were interviewed who were representative of the citizens of the respective countries and had a minimum age of 16 years. In total, the data set contains 8026 cases.
