Trends rondom diversiteit: introductie deel 1

Diversiteit, en vooral het managen van diversiteit, is een zeer populair onderwerp binnen organisaties, maar vooral ook in de wetenschap. Deze populariteit werd duidelijk toen bleek dat het aantal bijdragen voor het themanummer het aantal pagina's van één Gedrag & Organisatie-issue overschrijdt. We kunnen de lezer dan ook verblijden met niet één maar twee themanummers over diversiteit. In deze introductie zullen we een kort overzicht geven van de huidige stand van zaken binnen het onderzoek naar diversiteit, en koppelen we deze aan de vijf bijdragen in dit eerste themanummer. __ Diversity, and especially the management of diversity, is not only a very popular topic within organizations, but also receives a lot of attention in scientific research. This popularity became evident when the call for papers for this special issue resulted in more papers than one issue of this journal can contain. As a result, we have decided to devote not one but two special issues to diversity. In this introduction we present a short overview of the state-of-the-art of the research on diversity and connect this to the five papers in this first special issue.
