Abstract This project description introduces the Amsterdam School of Heritage and Memory (AHM) and the Amsterdam School of Cultural Analysis (ASCA) research initiative on “Critical Audiovisual Heritage”, led by Dr. Asli Özgen-Havekotte and Dr. Christian Olesen, which will kick-off in the fall semester of 2024. The project combines the grantees’ interests and on-going research on topics such as decolonising audiovisual archives, the epistemology of digital audiovisual collection access, reuse, and heritage.
