| Abstract |
In this explorative study we examined the creative process of making a computer animation. Six students with varying abilities participated (tenth grade, pre university education). The students thought aloud while carrying out the task and they were interviewed afterwards. In addition, we used screen recording and videotaping to register students’ ‘online’ processes. The aim is to give a detailed and vivid description of certain ‘episodes’ that took place in the creative process, in particular with regards to orientation, problem solving, and critical evaluation. Results give insight in how an episode is situated in the process, how a student acted at this specific moment and how students acted differently from each other at certain moments in the observed process.
