Abstract A chloro-bridged dimeric copper(I) complex with the ambiphilic phosphinoborane ligand tBu2PCH2BPh2 is reported. The molecular structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, revealing a secondary η1-C interaction of the ligand with the metal center. The complex exhibits green fluorescence when exposed to UV light at 366 nm.
