| Abstract | The Minister of Social Affairs and Emancipation Policy, Aart Jan de Geus, is keen to drop emancipation policy. During a conference held on 25 years of emancipation policy at the end of November 2003, he asserted that Dutch women now enjoy emancipation. Various women's organisations have responded sceptically in disbelief. |
