Abstract	This thesis sheds new light on the epidemiology and specific risk factors associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) related to congenital heart disease (CHD). In addition, strategies, reliability and possible pitfalls of detecting early pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) using exercise echocardiography are discussed.
