Abstract
This publication reviews the Arabic-language works that have been attributed to Kunta Hajji (ca. 1800-1867), a major Sufi from Chechnya who is regarded as the founding father of many Chechen wirds (Sufi groups) today. We draw attention to the Sufi treatises that he dictated in Russian exile, but also to the heritage of Kunta Hajji in contemporary Chechnya.
