Abstract
In October and November 2003 respectively, the Social and Cultural Planning Office and the Central Statistical Office published the most recent facts and figures on matters including the position of minorities in the Dutch labour market. In June 2003, the Central Planning Office published the findings of a study into the potential effects of labour migration. In the meantime, various measures directed at improving the position of minorities in the labour market have been discussed in depth. Additionally, expansion of the EU has sparked discussion on what the policy should be in terms of the migration of employees from the new member states.
