International opportunities for the ICT-sector

The Agency for International Business and Cooperation (EVD) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has asked SEO Economic Research to conduct a study towards the degree of internationalization of two sectors of the Dutch economy: the ICT sector and the creative industries.

The aim of this study is to quantify - as far as the data allow - the relationships these sectors have with other economies, in particular the economy of the United States of America. To this end this report contains detailed information up to the 3-digit level on the economic characteristics of the ICT sector, like sales, exports and exports to the United States. These data allows us to separate facts from fiction and to identify blind spots and opportunities in Dutch exports to the United States.
