Abstract Our contribution to the second issue of the Encounters project editorial is a short video work informed by the workshop we held in Athens in December 2021. We decided to bring poetry to the streets of Athens. We were curious to see what happens when poetry meets up with the mundane settings of the everyday. We filmed people in the streets reciting the poems of Constantinos Kavafis (1863 - 1933), considered to be one of the most influential and controversial Greek poets of 20th century
