Reproduction package for Salas, Liska, Markoff et al. 2025, MNRAS"Two-temperature treatments in magnetically arrested disk GRMHD simulations more accurately predict light curves of Sagittarius A*"Paper: https://doi.org/10.1093/mnras/staf240
The GRMHD simulation npz files in the folder "GRMHD", are split up into subfolders:
MAD2TC_R0_27m20: simulation 2TC in table 1 of Salas et al. 2025MAD2TNC_R0_27m20: simulation 2T in table 1 of Salas et al. 2025MADNC: simulation 1T in table 1 of Salas et al. 2025
The python jupyter notebooks:
- BHOSS_raytracing_2TC.ipynb to read and plot the BHOSS postprocess data: synchrotron light curves at 43, 86, 214, 228, 230, 345 and 1360 GHz- 2TSgrA_pyhamrds.ipynb to read and plot the H-AMR portprocess data: GRMHD variables in spacetime The figures are saved in "Output". The notebook was built using Python 3.9.18.
A description of the files are as follows:
"Fluxes1T.npz": synchrotron fluxes of single temperature (1T) simulations
"Fluxes2T.npz": synchrotron fluxes of two temperature (2T) simulations
"postprocess.npz": GRMHD variables in spacetime
