| Abstract |
Framing is a process that involves various actors (e.g., political elites, media, and citizens). The framing effect process is conditioned by influences at the contextual and individual level as well as by the frames themselves. This entry provides a synthesis of extant framing research and develops a model of framing effects as a multilevel effects process.
