| Abstract | In this thesis the aim was threefold: 1) to examine sex-specific differences to advance the understanding of underlying mechanisms in thrombosis 2) to improve models for risk assessment in thrombosis by identifying women-specific predictors and critically appraise existing risk assessment models developed for women 3) to further improve strategies for women-specific management of thrombosis and thrombophilia. |
