Abstract	Urban ethnography allows us to understand the city from within by engaging in the multiple perspectives and experiences of the people inhabiting, planning, building, policing, organizing, contesting, or using it. It is especially equipped to study the impact of large socio-political and economic developments like segregation, gentrification, migration, urbanization, ghettoization, and democratization on the real-life experience of diverse people.
