Transdiagnostic research is often portrayed as having the potential to revolutionize mental health care, but what is meant by ‘transdiagnostic’ varies across studies. A clear definition of transdiagnostic concepts and consistent, broadly applied evidence thresholds are needed to make sense of existing findings.
