Abstract
This article reflects on the composition of Mientras Bailamos (While We Dance), a situated performance and mixed media series created by the author during an artistic residency at Lugar a Dudas contemporary art center(Cali, Colombia). The series articulates tele(counter)choreographies(Andrade, 2023, 2022, 2016) as a way of confronting the operating alliances between neofascism, neocolonialismand neoliberalism across the Americas. In writing a dance quasi-chronicle that seeks to revoltar arquivos, this text explores the notion of radical imagination proposedby Haiven & Kashnabish (2015, 2014, 2012) to map out lines of situated performative research that bridge academic research, artistic practice and social movements.
