| Abstract | In conclusion, this thesis includes findings from studies that support our hypothesis of abnormal neurotransmitter functioning in adults with 22q11DS as a consequence of reduced gene dosages, together with findings from studies that may help to improve challenge studies or diagnostic procedures in neuropsychiatric disorders. The findings presented in this thesis provide some insights in the complex relation between a genetic defect and (ab)normal brain function. |
