Abstract This paper conceptualises how ideas of rights and justice can be brought together in relation to education, with a focus on conflict-affected regions of the world. In doing so, it seeks to highlight how to support transformative solutions and guarantee the rights of millions of children currently lacking meaningful access to schooling, we must move beyond seeing these two concepts as separate discourses, but rather, as deeply intertwined.
