Abstract
Reading skills in a bilingual Dutch-Russian boy with dyslexia.

From abundant literature, it has become clear that the phonological deficit is considered to be the main cause of dyslexia. However, dyslexia may manifest itself differently, depending on individual characteristics of language users and on language-specific features, such as the transparency of grapheme-phoneme correspondences, the complexity of the syllable structure, or flexible and unpredictable word stress. To our knowledge, there is no specific information on bilingual Russian-LX children with dyslexia. The case of Anton, a Dutch-Russian boy of 10 years old, described in this article, will contribute to deepening our understanding and knowledge about cross-linguistic manifestations of dyslexia.
