| Abstract |
The new Consumer Rights Directive introduced some changes to the level of consumers’ protection online. However, just like with its predecessor, the Distance Selling Directive, the main focus of the protection that consumers have been granted online is to provide them with transparent and salient information about their purchase as well as to give them a right to withdraw from the contract. This paper illustrates the new rules focusing mainly on the regulation of these two consumer rights, but discussing additionally other new rules applicable during the performance of online consumer contracts, e.g., regarding delivery.
