Abstract
This paper describes the poem’s dramatic nature from four different points of view: aside, part, interpretation and role. Having in mind the study of the poem as a monologue, we undertake the pronominal confusion that appears between the "I" of the poem and the reader’s "you". Considering Dante’s Convivio we focus on the similarities between the poem and its reading too, due to its reversible ability to speak one to the other. This fact refers, as previously stated, to an identification of the monologue as solitude and the embodiment of the poem with its reader. Finally, the division of the appellative and the referential directions let us to establish different rhetorical devices that depend upon the four attitudes of the enunciation.
