Abstract
The digital transformation has impacted all aspects of society. These impacts are most acutely seen amongst the youngest generation as they have been born into a world that looks entirely different than generations before. For researchers interested in how youth navigate, accommodate, and shape the digital society, these changes have precipitated a need for revised theorising; more precise analytic approaches; and a recognition that many young people lack the skills necessary to fully participate in this digital society.
