| Abstract | This study investigates the use of non-binary inclusive language in a recent German novel, as well as in a French translation of this novel. While inclusive language in the German novel mainly targets nominal forms using the gender star, as well as the indefinite pronoun, in the French translation, inclusive language forms are more widespread and also present through agreement on adjectives, determiners, and a wider range of pronouns. |
