Abstract
This article is a reflection of a study of the sexual development of young children (0-4 years old). We have interviewed 14 teachers of day care centres about what kind of sexual behaviour of children they notice and how they support this behaviour. The day care teachers seem to accept the sexual development as an important element in the development of children. In addition, it is their assumption that they influence the sexual outcomes of children. Day care teachers use common educational skills to support children to controle and socialize them and make them internalise common values en standards.
