Abstract We discuss what neurobiological measures can (and cannot) reveal about media exposure (section 8.2), followed by a discussion of recurrent validity and reliability issues and attempts towards their mitigation (section 8.3). In the end, we brief ly discuss how technological advancements and rising societal questions may shape the future of psychophysiological media research.
