Abstract From the radio luminosities of the cores of three globular clusters and the pulsars that have been found therein, it is inferred that these three cores together contain less than 40 pulsars beamed towards us, for any pulsar luminosity functions in a plausible range. Using various proposed models for the distribution of radio pulsars among globular clusters, an upper limit to the total number of globular-cluster pulsars of 300-700, depending on the beaming factor of these pulsars, is found.
