| Abstract | The main objective of this thesis is to increase our understanding of hypothalamic (dys)function in patients with pituitary insufficiency. This goal is driven by the clinical experience of persisting symptoms in patients adequately treated for pituitary insufficiency. We focus primarily on patients with a history of compression of the optic chiasm (CC), cranial radiotherapy (CRT) and/or pituitary surgery to optimize the chance of the presence of functional damage to the hypothalamus. |
