| Abstract | Obese patients undergoing bariatric surgery are at high risk for cholesterol gallstone disease and form gallstones extremely rapid after surgery. This thesis contributes to the knowledge of the pathogenesis of cholesterol gallstone formation after bariatric surgery and whether UDCA prophylaxis should be prescribed after bariatric surgery to prevent symptomatic gallstone disease, and to whom. |
