| Abstract |
In 2012, the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage department of the University of Amsterdam conducted research on six prints by Anton Heyboer (1924-2005). The research aimed to determine whether any of these were forgeries. The scope of the research was educational and focussed exclusively on the material characteristics of the prints. The prints were examined using simple methods and finally one print proved to differ from the others in all respects. Consequently it was confirmed that print no. HB 06 is most probably a forgery. This research information was used as a preliminary investigation by the Amsterdam Police Department.
