| Abstract | The lakes, ponds, and wetlands in the northern Washington state (USA) and southwestern British Columbia (Canada) contain a diverse, yet under-studied desmid flora. Samples collected from six sites revealed three taxa that are newly described: Cosmarium methowense, Planotaenium tortitaenioides, and Pleurotaenium subnodulosum. |
