| Abstract |
With all their lines culled from Homer, the gospel characters of the late antique Homerocentones sound unavoidably Homeric, as each line associates them with particular Homeric characters and contexts. This leads to an excess of interpretative potential. This paper explores a computational approach to the cento using the data available through a prototype of the DICES Database of Greek and Latin Epic Speeches to sift through the wealth of references.
