Dataset & syntax

This data package contains the datasets resulting from a manual content analysis of two court trials against the Dutch Geert Wilders (Freedom Party (PVV)). Datasets are aggregated to the daily level for the analyses, but the non-aggregated datasets are included as well. Input represents media input of the prosecuted politician, victims and the public prosecutor. Output represents news stories from a variety of quality and popular news stories (see article published in the International Journal of Press/Politics).The SPSS syntax was used to prepare the data. The R scripts were used to conduct ARIMA and VAR time-series analyses.
