| Abstract | On 7 December 2011, the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers (CM) adopted a Declaration on the protection of freedom of expression and freedom of assembly and association with regard to privately operated Internet platforms and online service providers. This follows the CM’s adoption in September 2011 of a similarly-titled Declaration on the protection of freedom of expression and information and freedom of assembly and association with regard to Internet domain names and name strings. |
