| Abstract |
The largest institute for forensic science in the Netherlands, the NFI of the Ministry of Security and Justice, covers a wide range of expertise, ranging from chemical identification to medical forensic investigation and from digital to human biological traces. For forensic psychiatry the Netherlands Forensic Center of Psychiatry and Psychology is established. Furthermore, there are several commercial companies active within different forensic fields. Within this chapter an overview is given of the history within the Netherlands, caseload and service level agreements, Quality Assurance, Research and Development as well as European cooperation within ENFSI. |
