Conducted a replication of J. D. Vermunt's (1992) study of learning styles and their relation to intelligence in higher education. Human Ss: 300 normal male and female Dutch adults (undergraduate students) (Sample 1). 287 normal male and female Dutch adults (undergraduate students) (Sample 2). Ss were administered 2 sets of tests: (1) intelligence tests representing components of the Structure of Intellect Model (J. P. Guilford, 1967) and (2) the 120-item Learning Styles Inventory (Vermunt), which contains 20 subscales of various work strategies, regulation strategies, mental learning models, and learning orientation measures. Test results were factor analyzed."
