- The commerce sector plays an important part in the Dutch economy with traditionally stable employment. The labour relations
in the sector are heterogeneous. The size of companies varies enormously, from small, family-run retailers through to multinational
companies. This diversity is reflected in the organisational structure of the social partners, in particular in employer organisations.
