| Abstract | The Agency for International Business and Cooperation (EVD) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has asked SEO Economic Research to conduct a study towards the degree of internationalization of two sectors of the Dutch economy: the ICT sector and the creative industries.
The aim of this study is to quantify – as far as the data allow – the relationships these sectors have with other economies, in particular the economy of the United States of America. To this end this report follows a detailed delineation of the creative industries on a 5-digit SBI-level, which was constructed for a research program concerning the economic effects of culture and creativity. The national economic importance of the creative industries is sketched, after which the available data on internationalization are scrutinized. |
