AbstractThe relativistic first law of thermodynamics for polarized media is derived from the conservation law of energy-momentum. The nonrelativistic second law for these systems is obtained from equilibrium thermodynamics and generalized to the relativistic case. The entropy balance equation is then derived from the first and second laws.
